This was the spring I most wanted to see, but I was shocked by the amount of degradation it went through thanks to thoughtless tourists who confused it for the Fountain of Trevi and tossed pennies in it, changing the water temperature and thereby, its color. There's a sign nearby explaining just how much damage has been done by such careless acts. Of course, it doesn't help that the pic was taken on a cloudy day either.
